Does anyone have any idea if it's possible to get ethernet cable designed for high temps? I need to run it behind some central heating pipes and that means exceeding the 60c of the Cat5/6 specs.
There are a few manufactures of harsh-environment cat5, toughcable by ubiquiti is one, I would consider using regular cable with some DIY heat shielding, might be more cost effective if it's a short run.
Dunno details but I've seen Cat 5/6 cable before with 85C markings on the sleeve. Should get away with DIYing regular cable in some heat shielding stuff though.
