Heat spreaders needed?

Hello,

Has anyone ever had issues with ram becoming unstable after removing the heatspreaders/heatsinks? I'm considering it so i can put the full size fans on my phantek cooler instead of the smaller fans i had to use.

Nope remove em!! But bear in mind you should do it carefully so as not to damage the IC's.

Heatsinks are for show only on RAM if im honest. you can take em off, generally done because of CPU coolers being too big for em to fit.
