Heat-treated Cartoned Milk

Is it safe to keep it in a cool place and not refridgerate it?

House mates keep using it so at least this way they couldn't, your thoughts?

is this once it has been opened? if yes then you need to put it in the fridge, well AFAIK you do

If you're talking about UHT milk then it's fine to keep it in a reasonably cool place (ie not the fridge) but once opened it is susceptible to germs as with any other milk so storage does then need to be between 2-5c

Thats an idea but only here for a few more weeks then moving back home and travelling next year by train...only 30min train journey, £10 return a day.

leave it by the radiator for a few days then put it in the fridge... he'll get the message
