Heat

Hey guys,

i just finished building my new system

but it runs a little too hot for my liking.

when i first boot this up, it was idling at 39-40c, but today its 50c

and on load the cpu runs at 66c and the MB at 48c

i know that the components i have renegrate a lot of heat, but i would like to get it cooler.

any recomendations for CPU heat sinks (as i am using a stock fan)

Well a Corsair H50-1 will take care of the cpu heat and strapping a fan on the heatsink on the motherboard will lower the motherboard temp

If that reading is Tcase get a cooler asap, 66c is close to thermal max.
If that temp reading was Tj - then you have nothing to worry about.

What are you Gpu temps like?

I would buy a decent cpu cooler; H50 and oc her for the 5870's. Bottlenecking them.

GPU is currently at 45c and has been running for 6 hours now
