Heathrow alert

A man has been arrested at Heathrow airport after running into the path of a plane. Explosive officers have been called in to examine a rucksack he was carrying at the time.

Why oh why did he do this, assuming there is an innocent explanation it is not like running for the bus now is it!

I would love to know how close he came to getting shot!

Yet another security breach at the airport, doesn’t give you much confidence in the security does it. :rolleyes:

Considering the Queen is opening T5 tomorrow I am guessing security would have been pretty high.

You can't win can you, security not tight enough, people moan, try to tighten security and the civil liberties mob cry fowl.

Airports are massive stretches of land with hundreds of entry points, if they were secure enough to stop something like that they'd be too secure to allow anyone to actually fly anywhere...
