Heatsink came with thermal paste, do I need more?

So I bought the Antec Kuhler 920 Series 4 and it already has a little patch of thermal paste on the plate already. The reason I am wondering is reading the reviews some people are saying they are getting 20C idle, I am idling at 30C. Other people are getting the same temps as me and I know my CPU is perfectly safe but is it worth opening it up and applying some paste or not?

No just leave it, if your happy with load temps theres nothing to worry about.

You could get better quality stuff, but a couple of degrees drop is nothing. It also depends where the case is sited, your fans in the case, airflow etc. So the ones idling at 20 could have wind tunnels, and be unable to even speak due to the noise of the fans. Yours could be near silent at 30 degrees.

Plus, idle means nowt. Load it up.

I personally, wouldn't bother.

Idle temps are pretty meaningless anyway. The load temperatures are the ones to keep an eye on.
