Just removed my Tuniq from my E6600 as I'm going to lap the CPU. Wasn't planning on lapping the Tuniq as it's pretty smooth and flat (it seems). But where the Tuniq has been in use for the last week or so, despite cleaning with ArctiClean, there is still a square patch where it was in contact with the CPU. It won't clean up, and I'm wondering if this is a bad thing? Or is it perhaps even a good thing? It's obviously where the AS5 has filled the grooves. Should I lap this aswell so it's back to a totally even clean surface, or is that just not necessary?
