I purchased this heatsink to go on a i5 2500K

It says it is compatable with LGA 1155 sockets but on the box the socket isnt listed and there is no instructions for installing with that socket. It looks like it will work if i just use the instructions for 1156 but i wanted to come on here and ask around to make sure before i go around screwing something up
