Heatsink / fan compatibility

My Heatsink fan is making an ungodly noise and i think it's on its last legs. I am looking to replace it with somethign of better quality BUT I am unsure as to what i am looking for. I know socket and tyoe of processor are paramount so i ran CPUZ to get some info.


processor = P4 3.2ghz Northwood

chipset = i865P/PE/G/i848P

MoBo = MSI model MS-6728 2.00


can you advise me of suitable heatsinks/fan combo's taht will fit to my chipset and motherboard.

Any cooler thats specced to fit a Socket 478 board, thermalright make good heatsinks but you'd need to buy a fan on top of that.

Arctic cooling make a cheaper solution, but its down to you and how hefty cooling needs to be.

Yea I am struggling as *** Neo 2 pfs platinum board i have has limited space Due to *** positioning of the northbridge. I am looking for some mid range cooling reasonably quiet
