Hi guys, I've got an Akasa Venom heatsink and fan. I've noticed (since I changed fan ports on the mobo) I think it is running at full speed since it is a lot louder than it was. Is their a program that I can slow it down with or will i need to invest in a fan controller?

Cheers, Sponge

Sounds like you have connected it to a Chassis fan header which will make it run full speed. Can you not connect it to the CPU Fan header and control the speed in the BIOS? This way it will throttle the fan speed depending on your CPU temps.

When you say you changed fan ports on the mobo, do you mean it is not plugged into the CPU fan header, as this is the only header that allows you to control the speed of a PWM fan.

If it is plugged into the CPU header, have you enabled control of the fan in bios. Can't remember off hand what it is called, cool and quiet or something like that.

Beaten again. lol :D
