Today all my components for a new build arrived:
- Asus HD 7970 Matrix Platinum 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
- Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail
- Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s
- Asus Z87 GRYPHON Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
- Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower Case with USB3.0 - Black
- Corsair 2013 Edition Gamer Series GS 700W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
- Corsair Vengeance RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit
(Thank you OVERCLOCKERSUK - very nice packed and my daughter enjoyed the small haribo sweets)
All was good until i realised that the motherboard is mATX - micro ATX (m didnt sound any bells when buying) so im going to change it with MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Series Intel Z87 (Socket 1150).
While i wait for my mothereboard to arrive i would like someone to help me choose a heatsink for my cpu that wont block my ddram(very high heatspreaders). Im a begginer in overclocking so i wont push the cpu very hard, but id like to try some moderate overcloking. But for that i need a better cpu cooler, the one that comed with the i5 looks like the i had on my e6600 6 or 7 years ago.

The gigabyte board is better imo, cheaper and comes with a cooler. May not have as many bells and whistles as the MSI gaming board but the build quality is better and has a UK RMA. Also i think it looks better (why did MSI use a brown PCB on a black and red themed series -.-)
