Heatsink for an athlon XP

Would that work on my 2800 XP Athlon - Socket A?

OK. It seems certain I will get that now. Is it good with Actic Silver 5 or does it works better with the stuff that comes with it (assuming it does come with it's own PC lube)

im selling a thermalright si97 if ** interested, with 92mm ystech fan.

Too late, already bought one from eBay.

Just save the £5 or so for a few pints

Well, I already have some so I don't need to buy it.

My CPU is at 44 in idle. :confused:

No holes here I'm afraid.

I have been using this Coolmaster heatsink for six months now: http://i3.tinypic.com/vy74lg.jpg

But I cleaned up my CPU chip and the heatsink today, added some Arctic Silver 5 and put it all together. But my CPU is still sky high. I guess the heatsink has just had it's day. :mad:

OK, so I got a Gigabyte G-Power Pro which arrived today. A bugger to install, well for me it was, and I had to remove one of my case fans (at the back) because it's so big.

However, it's got my CPU core temp down to 32 degrees when idle, so I can't complain. I need to get someone in to put the fan control in, etc..

It's normal mode just now, with just the one wire plugged into the motheboard, and it is quite loud. Not complaining though.
