Hi, A friend of mine has recently got hold of a am2 motherboard it is ...

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Cebit2006/Day5/images/asus01.jpg

But he says that is it missing the mounting bracket And there is no screws Or nothing, Just holes in the motherboard.

So could some one please point me in the direction of a New cpu cooler with the brackets ect with it.
I pointed him in the direction of a blueorb 2 because i knew that had the mounting stuff with it.

He wants it to be a good cooler, Rather quiet, and quite cheap.

Thanks a lot.

EDIT: Screw what I said before, looks like it needs the original bracket.

One of the Zalman coolers looks good. Like the 7500 AlCu. (can't link as the OCuK site just went funny here!)

hi...

It's actually my motherboard! I got him to post for me because I didnt have an account but now i do :D

I actually do have the bracket, the motherboard was one a m8 didnt need so he sent it to me, the CPU was in the socket, the heatsink/fan/bracket were all connected together and all looked good!

Then i lifted the Heatsink to check it and it just came off with the bracket connected, I then saw the screws were missing (i.e. no way of connecting the bracket to the motherboard).

SUMMARY: As you can see in the picture linked in the op, there are 4 screws, I dont have those screws! (or any plugs to screw them into for that matter, there are just holes in the mobo not screw sockets).

I guess those screws are relatively specialist so buying a new one seems the best option, unless someone knows an easy fix like glueing it down or something
