Hi,

How easy is it to remove the heatsink from the following RAM?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-060-GS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=

I brought a Motherboard, Processor and the above RAM as a package deal and also brought a Artic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU Cooler.

When I went to install the RAM into the slot closest to the CPU, I noticed that the RAM doesn't fit, due to the bottom of the fan/fins being to close to the RAM Slots.

So was thinking if I removed the heatsink I can still use the first RAM Slot.

Thanks.

Run a thin razor or pry between the tops of the chips and the heatsinks. Do not pry between the heatsink and circuit board or the chips may rip off. Heat from a hair dryer can help.

Does this Ripjaws PC17000 (2133 MHz) use overclocked 1333MHz Hynix H5TQ2G83BFR-H9C chips?
