I'm upgrading my case in the next few days to one of the new Enthoo Pros in Titanium Green - it's my birthday present to myself!

I've currently got a 212 Evo fitted to my 4670K running at 4.2GHz. Whilst this has been perfectly acceptable, I was thinking of upgrading to something bigger and better.

I would prefer to stick to air, but I'll consider an AIO if it would provide better value/performance.

I was thinking of this:

but will my mobo (Z87-D3HP) be able to handle the extra weight?

It's not so much the weight as the moment caused by something that protrudes so much. You could always DIY a clip from the outside fan to the top of the case for extra support.

Air will be quieter

Maybe but in my Corsair 550D case it was super easy to fit and I cannot hear anything. The pump is silent and the 2 120mm fans are set to low.

My case does have some noise canceling by default :D

Air coolers are statistally quieter than AIO with almost no exceptions. Swiftech H240-X is the only exception I know of.

Thanks for all the comments people. I was 99% sure there wouldn't be a problem but the paranoid part of me said to check, just to be sure!

I'll probably be going with either the Phanteks or the Noctua D14. Does anyone have a preference such as one's easier to fit than the other?

OK, I'll probably err towards the Phanteks then. I've already got a Soundblaster Z in this machine, so if I get the red version I can have some colour coordination going on.
