Hello i was cleaning my computer out the other day and when i went to take my memory out the heatsinks came clean off!, they slide back on but i think they need new thermal tape.

But in the meantime will this be a problem for my memory ? I do not overclock it, but just incase it might do damage to it .I could swap them over to something else until the thermal tape arrives? But i would like someone elses opinion?

thanks :)

Heatsinks are just there for aesthetic reasons, ram doesnt get that hot anyway tbh. Same with tall finned/heat piped ram, personally i think manufacturers should just ditch theese gimmicks and keep ram low profile.
