Attempting to fit a Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus and no matter how tight everything is or amount of paste used it cannot hold the temps, even in the bios on stock clocks ( Athlon II x2 240) its idling at 67 degrees.

Is this due to me removing the tops of the heatpipes to make it fit, and if it is what are my options.

The heatpipes are hot at the bottom but the top of the heatsink is cold to touch

Problem discovered and cannot be solved.

Once I looked up on how heatpipes work it was clear why cutting the tops off to make it fit are a bad idea.

Let this be a lesson to you all
