Heavier weight jeans

personally always use lycra , deviation obviously hasn't been admiring my unshaven commuter legs.

but for £120 https://www.cyclingnews.com/features/best-cycling-trousers/#section-best-overall
They're well priced too, and have a reinforced gusset for extra durability.
too many pairs of trousers died premature deaths before lycra, but, maybe a distressed look like the people with ripped knees (too much praying) would catch on

I dont think i would spend £120 on trousers for cycling, but thats just me. I wouldnt even spend £120 on trousers for non cycling wear

Of course you wouldn't! You've spent that on a Carly subscription!

Not so much that,

if its for cycling then

1) in the summer, its hot and 1) you wont need trousers, you will be better off with cycling shorts, which tbh dont need to be that expensive,

2) if its for winter, it will end up getting soggy, muddy, wet and ruined.

Cycling shorts when the weather is warmer is nice, its lightweight, stretchy, breathable. and and and , when your riding and there are approaching females they love it

they dont know where to look

You've got your wires crossed, that look on their face is FEAR, not lust ;) :P

lycras a lifestyle choice / 2nd skin - probably 6 months since I've been into Aldi/JS without it plus cleated combo shoes, too many traffic jams to drive in dystopiaan Cambridgeshire.

you'd be lucky to get a pair of comfortable trousers/bib-tights that will last 4/5 years much under £100 - so (my) jeans are cheap in comparison

Nah they're also pretty lightweight, they felt no more rugged than casual jeans - apart from having armour at the knee.
Well (depending on brand) they're not lightweight and they are incredibly rugged. I had a substantial off couple years ago wearing bike specific jeans - slid a fair way down the road. Jeans looked brand new after being washed!

yeah maybe some people have excessive sweating, or eating greasy fast food etc

I eat clean and work out for 2-3 hours at a time at least 3 days a week.

Occasionally I'll buy a pizza or curry etc for a treat, I'll freeze any excess for later use if it's a particularly good deal.

I've a focus on weight lifting and light cardio, although I will walk anywhere within 2-3 miles rather than drive.

Last I did a bench press I was in the 200kg range, and I avoid doing that sort of exercise and focus on drop down sets with hexbells and light bar duty in the gym.

I shower every morning, and after working out heavily I do so again. Maybe you people need to wash more? :p

Agreed I've been down the road in my Hood riding jeans and after a wash you'd only be able to tell if I pointed it out. Absolutely would not want to cycle in them though, I'd boil to death by the end of my road :D
