Hi guys, dont know why I have never asked this before but I have always had a concern over my graphics cards and the weight of them causing them to bend at the unsupported end, worst at the far corner where the power connectors usually are, making it bend even more.

There are a few options and ideas to prevent and straighten them up, like pulling the power cables above the card and cable tying them tight. I dont like this idea, the connectors arent designed to hold that sort of weight.

Other option is to use that Scythe Ninja wire, or string, but I dont like that idea, trying to hide cables and go for neat and tidy.

The other thing is throwing one of those power cooler power jacks under the card to jack it up, this doesnt look all that great either, if it moves its getting chewed up by your fans.

The last option which looks really good is by a company in the USA apparently Dell and Alienware use them in some of their high end machines.

Im not sure if im allowed to use the name because OCUK dont stock them, but what it is a piece of strong lightweight plastic which bolts to the expansion slot below or inline with your card and runs along the lenght of it and attaches to the pcb, once bolted it it holds the weight of the outside edge.

Mods can I share this item with forum members?

I've got an asus 7970 and its held up perfectly well by the 3 screws and motherboard. There's no need for any extra support to be honest. The card is huge!! And sits fine. Remember the old cards? My 285 was massive too, they won't bend decent motherboards and if you have a cheap board with a decent card what do you except if it does bend?
