Heavy Trottle

I went offroading yesterday on my bike and went thru a lot of mud and water.

Obviously my bike got caked in mud.

Now my Trottle feels heavy. I need to pull it with a lot more force.

Could I try lub it up? If yes how and with what? Or do you guys think I damaged the cable?

Have you tried stripping and checking the throttle assembly. Could be gunk or grit in there stopping it twisting as freely. Once I'd checked that I would follow the cable looking for issues.
