I was lucky enough to be ask to help cover the Hebridean Celtic Festival this year. This is a 4 day festival held on the Isle of Lewis with a huge range of bands and venues across the island. I had never covered/done any form of concert/venue photography before but was up for the challenge!

So armed with my trusty 5D1, my newly acquired Sigma 24-70 and a borrowed Canon 70-200 2.8 away I went! I was given the task of covering a small intimate venue on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday night (one band per night) and covering both the main tent and smaller tent at the main venue on both Friday and Saturday afternoon (7 bands per afternoon) so was no small task!

Here are a small selection of what I got, I am really chuffed with them that's for sure!

I like the lights in #6 from the first post. I think it could do with being a bit closer, or crop it tighter though as the band seem too far away.

Your first picture in that post has a problem I often see when processing. The light has a blown out blob in it. Not sure if many bother looking for this sort of thing, but I used to see it a lot so I actively try to avoid it now. Sometimes I bin photos because it bugs me in my photos so much :D
