So today I commented on a picture of a hedge maze, which started a pun war. I'm out of ideas, can anyone help me?

Me: Looks aMAZEing
Friend: top comedy there. I’m glad you decided to try it rather than HEDGE your bets
Me: I've clearly been out-punned here. I should get my coat and LEAF!
Friend: oh no, you’re doing fine. I must say that was ROOTiful
Me: You really are at the cutting hedge of maze humour.
Friend: I can see you are well and truly on the right path also
OP: You guys are comical really lol
Friend: I’m so glad I know airwave99. Good maze puns are ‘lost’ on so many people
