I hope you're right too, I need my conroe rig, my current computer is on it's last legs.

So lets all be optimistic and our combined positive thoughts will bring us our E6600s :D
 
Until I see a motherboard that will properly support conroe, without flashing bios, having raid issues, and other stuff, and that does crossfire or SLI, the arrival of the conroe CPU itself is irrelevant. I've got a grand burning a hole in my bank account, but I'm not gonna get suckered into it.

Thus the real question should be "guess the date that OcUK actually received good conroe motherboards" ;)
 
I've not been around much recently but your all still waiting for the E6600's to come in stock?!? If that is correct then why is there such an inconsistancy between OCUK's original release date and the date when they actually have them in stock ready to be shipped.

Does this not frustrate the people that have already paid for this chip and the money has been sat in OCUK's bank as opposed to their own, whilst they patiently wait for a chip that is weeks overdue?

Thats about the most sensible thing I've heard all week. With the price of these conroe motherboards being so high, who wants to make a £150 mistake! I am waiting to see how the ATI & nvidia based boards do before I spend all my money. :p

Yes indeedy, but OCUK can only sell what is available to them, this is Intels doing & theirs alone
 
I too am with you on that MGP. (Jay_t beat me to it)

I need a stable MB to run 4 drives in RAID 0, not too concerned about Crossfire/SLI and that OC's a E6600 to a reasonable level.

Until then, the queens heads stay where they are (just hidden from the wife though :cool: )

Yep, Intel gave them the date of the 24th, indeed some retailers were claiming they were going to get stock a couple of weeks before thiat as well.
