A lake!
Now, I've had a P5B Deluxe for a while now, and it seems to be fine. What doesn't seem to be fine is the OCZ Gold PC2-8000 that I've been putting in it. I get Memtest86+ errors at stock and it fails every other stress test I throw at it.

I've tried all manor of BIOS settings yet it still fails. I've RMA'd it twice now, each time recieving a different set and each time there have been errors. (Actually I lie, the third set is coming on Monday)

What I wish to find out is: Are there any known issues with this RAM and this board? The OCZ tech guy hasn't said anything, neither has the customer support dude.

Anyway, if this third set is no good, what should I do? Or: what should I do to stop it from breaking (if it breaks when it's in) as OCZ claim they test the modules prior to shipping.

Thanks for any help! I'm getting fed up. :o :(

What voltage are you giving the ram?

Have u tried running just one stick at a time and test for errors that way?

Also try the different slots . . .

2.1v (stock) and then 2.25v (closest to 2.2v I can get)

I've tested every possible single-channel configuration and I get errors. First time it was just one stick, second it was both.

Dunno? I don't have my P5B set-up yet . . .

Can u try some different brand sticks to see if its OCZ specific or perhaps the mobo/memory slot is damaged?

I would do, but I don't have any other RAM. If this lot fails and OCZ don't fix me up good then I'll get some different stuff. I was just wondering if there was anything I could sort in the BIOS to make it work.
