Helicopter action from Salisbury Plain

Over the last 3 weeks on Salisbury Plain there has been a Mission Rehearsal Exercise for 20 Armoured Brigade to prepare them for deployment to Afghanistan next month.

I spent a few days there to get the various helicopters that are supporting the MRX.

Looks like you had good weather for it too!

Where abouts is the second Chinook picture taken from? Just outside of Middle Wallop on that little hill which I've forgotten the name of by any chance? The plains are local to me but I hardly go there with the camera. With inspiration such at these pictures, perhaps I'll make more of an effort :)
