Behind you... Naked!
Ok I installed it just fine.

I have just had a go of Vista64 again and Im tryign to install HellGate in V64 and it wont accept my registration key?

I have the 4 digit job which is *** key and it says its invalid.

I have tried entering the serial number too, but thats already in use?

( Yeah... By me ! )

I have even tried to log in with beign a beta tester ( Im not ) but that too is failing.

I have not yet been able to install the game yet, although as I said, I have been playing it all week before this.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Im absolutely pig sick of companies that do all they can to protect their rights, but at the expense of assuming that everyone out there is trying to install illegal software.

Absolutely terrible game! The first game in about 4 years i threw against my wall and smashed the case to bits! It is still somewhere beside my bed where it can lay in ruin for years :D

Actually, Im not really sure that I can be bothered at the moment.

Im also tryign to install COD4 on this MAchine, which might I add, is my favourite game at the mo... Completed it 2 days ago, and its failing to run? - I am getting some iw3sp.exe has stopped working error and not getting any reasons as to why?

I know its fine in Vista32 because I tried it on my V32 box on the LAN and it ran perfectly fine, and I know its ok with XP64 because thats what I had here on this PC before I wasted my time in chucking Vista64 onto it again, so is it ok in Vista64? - Maybe a bit more time to get its updates etc all in perhaps?

In the mean time I still want to try HG-London on Vista64 on this PC so if anyone has any clues as to how I an install this great and wonderful game back ( I like it even if others dont ) onto this PC please, I would be very grateful

hellgate, crysis and cod4 all fine on vista 64 for me, do some updates, new drivers for everything, errm, no real reason i can think of at all for it not to install. errm, i'm not sure you even need to put in a cd key to install it, or do you. hmm, actually probably yes, cd key, but you don't need to do the online bit it suggest you can do as it installs. at what point is it failing for you. the cd key when you install to the computer, should have no bearing on anything internetagey(new word alert). it just verifys you can install, doesn't check for the cd key to be online, thats only creating an account.

I gave up sorry lads.

Its not only COD that was being a poo, there are other issues too, and quite annoying that every so often, I throw Vista onto the MAchine and every so often the issues I get are purely random... This time it seemed to be that Vista itself was spot on, my Audio for a change ran at 5.1 ( not been able to do that for a few weeks now ) and the whoel system ran an absolute treat, but many apps simply gave me lots of grief.

COD4 simply failed to run, with a doaliog box coming up saying IW3SP.EXE has crashed and it will report backl to me.. .But it gave no explanation of anything??

HELLGATE. Well, this is funny because I installed it on this very machine under XP64 and it went on just fine...

Hang on... Im about to install it again on XP64 and I will see if I can repeat the error??? - Mind you, It ran just fine on Vista32 on one of the other PCs, so its probably just a borked install of Vista64 earlier on?

Here goes...

Ok,

EULA... Ok, accept that

Where do I want it?
Ok, I will put it in D:\Games\HellGate London
Right, my Serial number
I got past this stage I know that...

That was close... I almost pressed return then, and I entered my Serial in here instead of the game!!!

Ah, right... I can see now where the problem is already...

The Account Creation bit has come up and the blue bad along the bottom is going along... It never did this under V64?

Ok, with COD4 and HGLondon both giving me some issues, it must have been a bad install of Vista then? - All of Vistas updates were all done, as were the latest drivers for everything.

I think that I simply have one of those systems that simply isnt going to run Vista64? - I have run it just fine on a couple of other PCs upstairs and they seem to be perfectly fine with it, just not this one ( My main one )

I still have not activated it because I want to hve it on my Main PC, so I will just re-try next upgrade then.

Hell, I got a fright then... Dialog box came up with adding new hardware and the volume was a tad loud!

Ok then cheers for everything all... Obviously a Vista issue not a HGL one.

Although I threw UT3 on and it ran fine with that???

Ah sod.

Thanks again.
