Hello everyone & Happy New Year :D

I live in North Walsall, & I'm now a pensioner with almost 3 years experience, having spent most of my life in engineering, but more latterly & when engineering went into decline, I became involved in helping young people into employment, from 1994 until I retired at 65 in 2008.

Well thats me folks saying a big HELLO.

I've got what I'd guess to be an hardware problem with my new PC & now trying to figure out where I can go post it. :)

No, it's not Bloxwich, its actually New Invention, but the last time I told someone that I was from a place named New Invention I got asked if this was a wind up, the ensuing conversation went on for what seemed forever, about why is it called that.

For anyone wanting to know why New Invention is called New Invention, allegedly a person from here stuck a cylinder on the roof of his house where the flue exits the building, thus drawing out the smoke that drifted around the inside of the house.
Do I believe the above? No, of course I don't, but on the spur of the moment I can't think of anything better :)
