Hello from Afghan!

Well I have just landed in Camp Bastion and managed to finally get the internet working on my laptop! Still pretty warm here at the moment but will start to get A LOT colder in the next few weeks. Can't give too much away but hopefully I will be able to take some pics and get them up here in the next few weeks. Speak to you all soon lads.

Cheers for all the comments guys. My tent does have aircon but about 10mins ago it packed in! Its still hot out here for this time of year, should start to cool down next week though. Off to a different location today for at least 4 months so updates may be even slower than this one!

Wow, cheers for all the replys guys! Its getting....interesting now the elections are only a week away. Lots of work for me and the other medics. Im getting lots of parcels and letters to keep moral up and can get on the internet every now and again.

Im now waiting for my R+R dates to come through so can start planning stuff while im at home to see family and friends. Should be around christmas with a bit of luck. Not managed to get any hovis sent out yet but will defo try and get something to add a bit of OcUK to this place! The only bread I have out here is the stuff we are making ourselves in a makeshift oven: a converted 81mm mortar ammo box

Anyway thanks again for the messages of support guys, will get some pics up once I am home on R+R. Take it easy guys!

Strife212, indeed we both seem to be from the same town! I hate to say this but I actually miss the chav/old people crammed town center.

And next time I do an ammo check, I will write OcUK with some 5.56!

Cant post till I get back on RnR mate, its a crapola pic as my digital cam has broken so I had to take it using my laptops built in webcam which is rubbish!
