The tents all have air con (to varying quality!) in bastion. At this time of year though it should be coping fine as it starts to cool.

The welfare internet on bastion is provided by satellite link back to the UK (I believe). You're limited to 20MB a day in the accom wifi, or until someone kicks you off in the welfare cabins. The speeds resemble 56k at peak time, when it's quiet it's like old school broadband (512) I suppose. Nothing to write home about!

I only ask because I did, $100 a month in the other desert - for only 112k connection - was such a ripoff but the missus appreciated being able to skype most nights.
