Well after being a long time seti@home participant and taking a break for a year or two I decided to start doing F@H and thought I would say hello to everyone. I only have one machine but it will start the good fight to fold these proteins.

my username is JellyMaster

Welcome to the team dude :)

As BTI said, if you need any help, just ask and one of the geeks will help you :p

Stan :)

well as I said had been doing seti@home for several years and am just outside the top 100 in the OCuk team but thought it was time for a change.

So looks like folding will have my PC's time and given that its on 24x7 i thought I might as well put these spare cpu cycles to use.

well have completed my first unit. but now nothing is happening.

this is the info from Fahmon:

[28/04/07 - 12:55:00] Project number found for Folding @ home 1 from FAHlog.txt: 2606
[28/04/07 - 12:55:00] Folding @ home 1 [ETA] | avg=387s | last=N/A | ref=387s | left=38700s (guess)
[28/04/07 - 12:55:00] Folding @ home 1 has an unknown state (Unable to find a complete frame)
[28/04/07 - 12:55:00] Project number found for Folding @ home 2 from FAHlog.txt: 2606
[28/04/07 - 12:55:00] Folding @ home 2 [ETA] | avg=384s | last=N/A | ref=384s | left=38400s (guess)
[28/04/07 - 12:55:00] Folding @ home 2 has an unknown state (Unable to find a complete frame)

so what do I do now?

The best thing to do usually is just wait - if it's just started a new WU then it won't have enough information to give you an ETA.

F8 should show you the logfile - aslong as it looks like it's working there and your CPU is maxed out then all should be fine :)
