Hello, everyone. My name is Robert Hallock, and I'm AMD's Product Marketing Manager for enthusiast graphics. My current portfolio includes:
A little bit about me:
I'm 27 years old. I moved to Canada from the Detroit, Michigan metropolitan area two years ago to work for AMD. I live in Toronto proper and love it. I also love Detroit (yes, really), and am extremely proud of the time I got to spend there. I won't move back any time soon, but one day I hope to live in beautiful Michigan again.
In my spare time, my main hobbies are being on the Internet too much and powerlifting at the gym. I have a fascination with fast cars, old console ROMs and emulators, sci-fi and fantasy literature, Chinese mechanical watches, soapmaking, male fashion, craft beer, fast cars, My Little Pony, Pokemon and I play a bitchin' game of Scrabble. Oh snap.
Prior to working for AMD, I did hardware reviews and industry analysis for icrontic.com for the better part of five years. I wrote some 1700 articles during that time concerning telecom policy, smartphones, Internet culture, hardware releases, beat reports and so on.
In short:
I'm the man behind the "^RH" signoff on the @AMDRadeon Twitter handle, the dude behind AMD_Robert on Reddit, the author of many blogs for AMD, and the guy who wrote the text on the back of pretty much every HD 6000 or HD 7000 Series product box you've ever touched.
...and I have a very big surprise for everyone here.
Stay tuned.
- AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
- AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
- AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
- AMD Eyefinity technology
- & AMD CrossFire technology
