Hi all, My names Chris & I've only ever had consoles which I've enjoyed a lot over the years :)
I'm 30 now & I've always wanted to build a pc but always went for the ease of buying a console as all my friends have them.

It is now time to take the plunge & go for it :D I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible as I want to build it myself & also understand how everything works.
I'm not going to lie & say I know what I'm doing because I certainly don't but I've learnt a hell of a lot the short time I've been joined to this site, oh & YouTube is great.

I've been looking around & I've decided it must be a mini itx set up.
The pc will be in my living room taking the place of my xbox,
I want it to play games and watch movies & general family stuff i.e storing pictures & videos of the kids:)

Here is what I've been looking at for the build..

intel i7 4770k

asus p8z77-i

corsair 16gb

prodigy mini itx

evga gf gtx 680

just need to know if this would be a system to beat the xbox one and ps4??

I know there is a lot I've missed on the list but there the main things I'm going to order first;)

Thanks for your time & I look forward to talking to you guys cheers Chris

The cost of the new Xbox games are said to be upto £89 per game, I prefer the PC as I feel it's more immersive, you can tweak upgrade and personalise till your hearts content
