Hi everyone

Complete newbie when I comes to PCs here.

I bought a complete system off here back on November and recent had some trouble with my PC so did a malware bytes scan and found a root kit among other things which I auratentinted and detected. Now my PC won't boot windows. The rbg lights where flashing have now stopped. I've done automatic repair, ststem repair and wiped everything and tried re installing windows thro thst via the Internet. Still no luck booting windows and I've exhausted ally knowledge. I've tried called customer service with no luck and submitted a ticket. Can someone point me in the right direction and how I can just reinstall windows fresh and start again? TIA

Hey - welcome.

In your sitation I might consider downloading Windows Media Creation Tool on a known working machine without malware.

I'd then consider creating a Windows USB install usb-stick on a USB known to be malware-free.

I'd then consider plugging in my new Windows install USB stick to my broken machine, going into the bios on my broken machine (normally hit del or F2 when it starts to boot) and booting from the windows install media.

From there I might try repairing windows startup, or perhaps just blowing away my old install (losing all my data) and putting Windows on again afresh.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't mind loosing everything as its just a gaming PC so no work stuff is stored on there. Will let you know how I get on.
