Hello :D!

I will get to work on a similar spec but with a discrete graphics card.

P.S. when you say "Monitor(s):19" ", do you mean you own a 19 in screen or are you looking to buy one?

I've got a XP cd lying around at home and plan to a small have ~20GB< partition for Windows7. As I have a BETA copy that expires in April 2010.

Cheers that's a set of specs will keep that in mind. Just got a few questions.

-When you install the Motherboard do you have to cut out the back of the case to fit the DVI/USB.. sockets. So you can slot it in?

Nope. The case will have the standard size hole already cut into it. The motherboard will be supllied with an 'i/o shield' which has the correct holes in the correct places for your mobo.

You simply push the i/o shield onto the case where the hole is. and then all the holes are there. no cutting involved.

Here is a spec which includes a 19" monitor, 2.1 speakers and a 4650 gfx card

Sorry about going over budget - but the performance dips dramatically if much else is cut.

I have to say thats a severely restrictive budget especially when you need a monitor as well.

Heres my shotty of a spec:

I noticed no mention of an OS. Do you have one already? If not you'll require a 64bit OS to utilise all 4 gigs of ram.

EDIT: thats right andi its similar to yours :P I went through the store and it just so happens we picked most of the same stuff. I like your thinking.

REDIT: oh poo lol monitor is 18.5 inches

Nice refinements, killari (the 4770 does indeed look like a brilliant card). I also agree these designs make use of 4.5GB of RAM - 4GB system, 512MB graphics, so a 64 Bit OS would be the best option as it can use all the ram.

Another go, just need your own speakers, Motherboard has integrated gpu.
