Hello!

Haven't been a part of a PC forum for a while so thought I'd join this one!

Hoping to build a new £800 system in a month or two, so will probably be on here a lot to ask for tips and advice, I do already have one question about keyboards I'm just not sure which area to post it in.

Gah, I can't figure out how to post an image, so I'll just have to write out a list of parts I was planning on getting.

ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 mobo

Ryzen 5 3600x

Gigabyte GTX 1660Ti WindForce 6144MB GDDR6

Kingston A400 480GB SATA SSD

Team Group Dark T-Force 16GB 3200MHZ DDR4

Wraith Prism cooler (I want ALL the lighting)

Kolink Observatory Midi Tower RGB black tempered glass.

These are all on overclockers and the total is £843.89 before postage. Should play everything I want at 1080p no problems, AND it'll look super cool.

Still need to find like 5 replacement cherry MX red RGB switches for my keyboard XD

Only reason I chose the ROG board was the pretty lights. And tbh the non x cpu would save money.

Hey I'm with you on this one. I've built the whole system based on ROG pretty lights haha. That aside. I am not the one to ask about the budget AMD boards. Although I've heard the MSi are better than the ROG ones. Especially the MAX models that come with updated compatibility meaning that you won't have to update BIOS with older chip to run 3600 or 3600x on it.

Also I think the VRM's run cooler meaning that you will be able to upgrade to better CPU down the lines should you choose to. There's like an excel document floating around the forums about the VRM capabilities. I can't find it in instant but if you look around you can find it.
