Hello,

Not new to PC gaming, but it has been a while since I've done a build. My last build was in 2012, still on DDR 3

But making a new build now, so greetings and hope to join you all with current technology. Also,

Merry Christmas !

Bought:

CPU: 3600XT - but will upgrade to a 5900X or 5950X when stock is more stable, maybe mid next year and if I make enough off my renders
GPU: 3070FE - If I can fully saturate it with renders, maybe I'll upgrade to a 3090 or 3080ti if that's out by then

Getting tired of cloud rendering for Vray, and using Enscape more and more. So if I fully utilise the above and need more, then I'll upgrade.

MOBO: MSI B550m Mortar Wifi
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 32gb 3200mhz
PSU: Phanteks Revolt Pro 1000w - Going to keep it for a few years or so. Just need to call tomorrow to see when Overclockers get stock.

Edit: PSU is
Corsair TX 850W V3 PSU

Storage - will just reuse my 860evo and 840pro until the SN850 or 980 pro, basically those types of 4.0 Nvme are more reasonable or available. Then some 2tb nvme for storage, when I can afford that.
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C mini - will reuse this
Fans: Have unopened QL140's for a while, so probably just use them too. I have multiple pwm fans in my drawer somewhere though.
Cooler: Noctua U14s - but I kind of want the AIO Lian Li Gallahad. I've had the Noctua since 2014, I have the AM4 adapter too.

My PC is on my desk in the living room, so it looking good is important now :D. Just unfortunate that the prices and demand are high and supply is low right now.

Overall so far it's okay, just wondering if I should wait for my power supply to arrive or if I should just build and reuse my current PSU temporarily. I have an 850w 80+ Bronze rated Corsair PSU from Jan 2012, bit afraid it's going to destroy the 3070fe when it pulls more power. Afraid to risk the FE version blowing up because there's no supply....
