Hello everybody.

First post for me in a very long time! Hi to everyone of old, and hello to everyone who's joined since.

I'll cut to the chase:

I'm getting married in July. I'd like to buy my fiance a gift that my niece can give to her on my behalf, on the morning of the wedding (I'm not allowed to see her obviously).

Something really poo-hot.

Jewelery was my initial thought, but then she has already bought the jewelery for the wedding - you know girls, it's all got to match etc.

So does anyone have any really clever ideas or suggestions?

Budget: say £500 absolute max, but ideally less.

Thanks

James

My other half also had the jewelry sorted for the day, but I still went ahead with diamond earrings.

She wore them on the day and she loves them.

Ah, that's what I was actually thinking of. Diamonds go with pretty much everything.

Hmm, so a jigsaw would be out of the question!! :p

You're right though. Needs to be something quick, but with lots of sentiment. And like you say, earrings should last a lifetime.

She might be pretty emotional already that day and now you are going to give her a wonderful and entirely unexpected gift showing your eternal love for her.....

Cue waterworks.

'Course it depends on the lady, but you might want to take it into account.

You sir, are a wise, wise man :)
