Hi All

I have been here for about a week now and have just found the welcome forum - there is so much to see here and so much to take in; I have a lot to learn.

I have decided to move on to PC gaming from the console (ps3). I think that the issues with Skyrim not getting the dlc and inferior graphics are what got me seriously thinking about this, coupled to the fact that even the next gen of consoles won't be as good as a pc. Anyway enough of that.

I currently have a laptop with a fixed graphics card and I am wondering if it will cope with games. I think it might at some level but am looking longer term to upgrade to a better laptop or pc. My laptop is a Dell inspiron N7010 with i3 M350, 2.27GHz, 4gb RAM - graphics is WEI 4.2 but 5.1 for gaming - will it cope I wonder?

I will have about £650 to spend in Jan and can possibly squeeze an extra couple of hundred for a 'discrete' graphics card purchase fairly soon afterwards;)

At present I am thinking of trying things with the current laptop and if I take to laptop gaming getting a better laptop. Part of me wants a proper upgradeable pc though. Guess I'll have to suck it and see....on to the forums!
