Hi all, i'm not new, but i think i joined some time back and never really got into talking with all of you, i really didnt have the sort of pc you would shout about back then lol .... i think i had an AMD Athlon 5000_ black edition, with 2gigs of kingston hyper x, and a little 250gb Pata hd lol
But now, i have got my newest build running, it is nowhere near finished, but i think this one will be much better on my very very tight budget
ATM this is how it stands
CASE - some pretty old mATX case, acer, not bad for what it is lots of bays but pathetic cooling and space
PSU - 4 yr old OCZ fatal1ty 550w
CPU - intel core2 duo Q6600 *SLACR* @ 333mhz - 2.9888mhz *35-55c*
Cooling - just a thick standard intel air
Ram - 4gb *single dimm* infiniti 1600mhz ddr3
Mobo - ASRock G41M-VS3
GFX - Asus nvidia 610GT - 2gb
Hard Disk - Maxtor *seagate* 250gb sata 2
Completed the 32 Wprime test in just over 15 seconds
And here comes the good bit, seeing as the PSU was allready in the cupboard i dont count it towards cost, maybe that is cheating, but so far i have spent literally £110 on this , and boy am i glad i finally went intel !!!!
Will be getting a matching pair of better brand ram, this is just sort of standard ram, no heatsinks or anything, the primary disk drive will be going, in place i will get a SSD but i need to work out, if it is worth it on this mobo, i really do not want to melt the NB on this cheap mobo
Will definatly be enjoying my stay , hope to chat to you all soon!
