Help 1950xt scores

My scores with my new 1950 xt seems very low and 3dmark reports my card as a generic card.

cps is a duo core 6400@deafult

3dmark 03 - 17390
3dmark 05 - 9916
3dmark 06 - 5301

System is new install with the grafix drivers from shappire

hmmm they could be a lil low yes. did you use the drivers on the disc that came with it or the ones from ati site ?

I used the ones on the disc as when I try to install any other drivers it tell me that it cannot find an ATI grafix card?????

Just recently upgraded to a 1950 xt myself,using same mobo but different cpu A64 4000.
My 06 score is a few hundred less than yours (using drivers on disk)

Can only use the drivers on the disc, theres none for the x1950 XT yet.

Does seem a little low in 03/05, i get just under 20k in 03, and just under 10k in 05 with stock system in sig, not sure about your 06 score as i only get about 4.7k in that, so that could be about right, the others are definately not though, i know ive got an E6600 but surely that wouldn't make that much difference, unless as i said they aint done any drivers for them yet, as the ones on the disc will just be crap modified set just so you can get your card up and running.

had it happend to me when i got me 1950pro downloaded latest drivers doooh lol and at time they werent out for the pro are now so would imagine the xt drivers would be ready for next release

With a bit of luck, the 6.12's are due now, i rekon next week, but i wouldn't tell him to hold his breath for support, as the latest drivers after the x1950 XTX's were released (about 2x weeks later) didn't support em, had to wait for the next set which was yet another month odd.

The more I read the more I find people with the same problem. Never had a card before that didn't realy have any proper drivers.......strange.


Is the 1950 range realy that differant to the 1900????

Probably with future driver releases the card will be better supported & get higher scores. For now though the drivers off the CD should allow you to play any game happily enough.
