I ordered a card (2nd hand) off ebay. The guy had a 100% feedback and had great communication and stuff, so I know it's got to be my end. Also for the reasons why it doesn't seem to be working.

I opened the case and slotted it in (boy - they are long). It seems fine. I did notice a prong that didn't seem to have a thing to go in. However I only bought the motherboard 11 months ago off overclockers and the card was made in 2007! So I can't believe my motherboard is out of date. Anyway regardless I fired up the computer and the computer wailed long and hard and the monitor has no signal input. I take both to mean the card isn't in right. But it looks fine to me. My motherboard is a gigabyte ga-p35-ds3l intel p35 socket 775 pci express ddr 2. I can't believe it isn't the right board. WHen I ordered it I was told here to put a 8800 in it, but I couldn't afford £170 then and so got another one.

at the back of the card there should be a power connector (6 pin i think) where you plug in a power cable from the PSU. If your PSU doesnt have the right connector then the gfx card usually comes with adapters.

I presume when you turn on your PC the gfx card doesn't power up?

I couldn't see either the pins or the cable. I took the card out and spotted it on the opposite end to the output. Fished around my spagetti junction of wires and bravo!!!

Thanks very much.
