Hi,

I'm looking to get me some new graphics.

I've spent the better part of 2 hours browsing OcUK and googling other information on various card. I still have no idea which cards are actually the best for the price.

I see cards with 320MB that perform better than cards with 512MB so I really have no idea what I'm looking for.

I'm not a fan of ATI due to previous dealings with them, so the card I buy would be NVidia.

I think PCI-E is still the best at the moment? So I'm looking for a PCI-E NVidia card that is the best performance for the price at the moment.

I do a lot of 3D gaming so I would like great performance. A card that will have no problems with games such as Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, FarCry etc.

Can someone recommend me something pleeeease? :)

Thanks.

If no budget, then its a no-brainer: Go for either 8800 GTS or GTX.

& the 8800GTS 320MB performs better because its a next generation DirectX 10 card :)

Yes, get the 8800. It will murder just about anything you throw at it ast the moment. I run Oblivion maxed @1680x1050, with AA, AF, HDR and it looks :D

BTW, you REALLY need to change your signature. It is massively to large. Needs to be 75PX max in height.

Cba to make another so just removed it :)

Ok, I will purchase the 8800 320MB. It'll probably drop in price over a year, so I can always buy a 2nd to SLi at a later date.

Thanks for the help peeps

And crysis might not run so smoothly on full settings mid-high resolution, but hen you can always compromise a few setting for better fps, I've been doing it for the past 3 years and I owned good up-to-date gfx cards...

Forgive me if I have misread the OP ... but what system is the graphics card going in ?
The way you said "I think PCI-E is still the best at the moment?" implied to me you took that as a feature, not an interface.
Sorry if that sounds condasending, but better to sound that way than risk you buying something that wont fit in what you have :)
