My problem is I am thinking about buying a new monitor as the lousy 25ms response time on my 19" belinea is starting to give me bad heads in fps games.
My graphics card is a BFG 8800gts 320mb version so I'm correct in thinking anything above 19" standard 1280x1024 will be a struggle at full res/full detail? including 19" widescreen.
reason i ask is I'm unsure weather to buy a 20"/22" monitor or go for another standard 19" and run dual monitors and use the new for gaming and the crappy response belinea as the desktop only.
I'm finding it hard as I don't really want to invest in a bigger monitor if i cant enjoy the games at full like i do now, but i don't want dual monitors if its going to look a little daft having 2 different monitors.
then again dual monitors if they look good look really good to the laymen it makes it look so professional what do you guys think?

From what I've been reading lately you'll be fine with resolutions 1600x1200 and below with the 320MB GTS. Therefore a 20" widescreen TFT should be fine as it's less pixels than the ideal 1600x1200 resolution. That said some games will fare better than others (Battlefield 2 and Quake IV seem to love the extra RAM at any resolution for example) but as long as you don't go above 20/22" size screens you should be fine with that graphics card.
