Hey guys, as title would suggest, I'm not very clued up, when it comes to memory at all.
All I know is, that I need DDR2 memory, I want 2GB of ram ... I have a E6300 and a new Shuttle SD37P2 on it's way.

I didn't budget on a new PC, my old one went *poof* and I'm forced to go Conroe (.... not the worst thing that could happen I suppose :D)

As such, I'm trying to cut down cost where I can, and since I wont be overclocking at all really, I thought memory is deffo a place where I can save some wonga.

I was originally gonna buy some Geil Value DDR2 PC5300 667MHz kit here off OcUK, but the price will bun some holes in my wallet :(
Would it be such a great injustice to buy 2GB (2x1GB Sticks) of Samsung PC4200 ? (more details HERE )

Will that slow down the system at all, running purely at stock. If so, will it really be that much slower?
Is £80 a decent price for it?

thanks in advance

The shuttle mobo can support:

Memory support
4 x 240 pin slots, supports Dual Channel
supports DDR2-533/667 DDR SDRAM memory
max. 2 GB per DIMM, up to a total size of 8 GB

So that means it supports it and there wont be a noticible diffs running stock?
