Help a newbie with 1st web site?

Hi All.

Just wondered if there were any kind folks on here that live in striking distance of Burton on Trent that would be willing to sit with an old geezer for an hour or two and run through the basics of Word Press and help me get my first web page sorted?
I have registered with Vidahost and just need a guiding hand.

I would be happy to pay petrol costs and buy you a pint or two or three

I don't live near you, but there are many tutorials available online starting at the very basics of web design and web development.
