Hi guys, I'm going to be overclocking for the very first time tomorrow. I want to update my motherboard to the latest bios, as it has never been updated since I've owned it.

I've had a look on the gigabyte website but I'm really not sure what I'm looking for on the site? I've landed on this page..

http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/utility.aspx

My motherboard is GA-880GM-UD2H. I also just wanted to double check that I can overclock on this board.

I found references for my board from rev 1.0 up to rev 1.5 - again not sure how I would check what rev it is?

My main query though, help updating the bios ready for my overclocking adventures.

Thanks

Adam

you need to find out what revision it is first before you go looking for bios's,flash the wrong one/revision and it could brick your motherboard

if you look carefully on the box or on the motherboard itself it will say in white writing rev1 rev2 ect

dont flash any until you now what rev your board is

oh and flash from within the bios using qflash and a memory stick

Ok thank you wazza! I will look in the morning and update the thread to double check I download the right thing :D

My Phenom is running stock at 2.8ghz, it's running a tad slow in games nowadays, so I'm going I can get a bit more life out of it before Haswell with a good overclock. I am using an aftermarket cooler also.
