Spec in sig :)

The only thing i remotely overclocked was my barton and that was just putting the FSB to 200 and thats it.

Now i see everyone talking about timings voltage etc and am confused.

What settings should i use to hit 2ghz(my first target) and where should i start?

Start here.

I have that motherboard and the FSB can be altered by chaning setting to Auto to Manual i think. It is default shadowed out.

u want to be doing it in the bios, as windows oc'ing is not the best thing in the world, dont really get a good feel for what is being altered and what else needs to be. so find corresponding things in ure bios after setting most of the settings to manual, if u dont know what they should be before hand then u need to read some more about it.

I went into the bios, incremented the FSB by 5mhz, saved and exited and then my fans started spining real fast. When i got into windows it had underclocked my cpu lol.
