Help about Asus Z 590 e gaming

Hello

bought asus z590 e gaming. also bought corsair h150i elite capellix white cpu cooler. on h150i pump i got 2 connectors and and one is 3 pin connector which i dont have it on motherboard z590 e gaming.

with h150i I got commander core and i connected commander pro with one connector from h150i pump, on photo above left one.

then commander core exit got 2 connectors, one connected to usb header, other to sata cable, to power commander core.

just wonder about 3 pin, can i plug in 4 pin cpu fan or i need converter.

Since it's a single wire
It's probably just to stop you getting a no CPU fan
Connected error message
And yes 3 pin will go on a 4 pin header

Hi welcome

As above you can plug a 3 pin into a 4 pin header. That board has a 4 pin AIO Pump header so I would plug it into that. You might have to disable the cpu fan header in the bios if you get an error.

hi lee. yes it has 4 pin aio pump header. will i be able to control fan speeds on h150i if i plug in 4 pin aio pump header.

There's 2 little rails/guides/plastic grooves on the connector
Those line it up so you get the 3 pin in the right position
Since it's just a signal wire
I would use the CPU header as saves having to turn off monitoring in bios
The AIO header is designed to provide higher Amps
In case it's actually powering a pump where as in your case it isn't
Though lees way will also work
Not used one of those AIO
But guessing it's going to be the usb connection
That controls the fan speed

any chance for 3 pin to 4 pin converter. will that help.

You don't need a convertor
It will work as it is by plugging the 3 pin in

one more questions. got 2 types of corsair fans, ml came with h150i, ll with case. is commander core enough to plug them all and still control speed plus color on icue software. sorry for maybe silly question, just new one with rgb pc.

That one I am not sure about
Not sure if you can mix and match the fan type
If the connector fits then it would be a case of trying in icue to see
If you can tell it more than 1 fan type
I only have 3 Corsair fans and they're all the same type
so can't go check on my pc for you

ok. thanks. one more. sorry. got old asus ph gt 1030 2gb. on motherboard should i put in top or middle pciex16.

Usually it's top pcie slot
Though the other slots will work
They may not always provide the full x16 speed
Depending on the setup

everything is fine. fans working, got inside bios, usb flash with win 10 uploading. but but, wd sn850 not recognised. cant instal win10. is it possible got bad one or something else. i pluged in second slot number 7 on above photo.

Need to read your motherboard manual
It may be one slot is only for sata m2 drive not nvme

Yeah sn850 will work
Maybe just not in all of the m2 slots
Some slots support both nvme and sata
But it's possible 1 maybe 2 will only support sata
Would need to read the motherboard manual
My guess would be at least the 2 highest up slots
Should work

Quickly read the manual
It looks like any m2 slot should work
Except the top one if not using an 11 series CPU
Says it's pcie 4 and will be disabled if using a series 10 cpu
