Help - ? about psu , case and molex connector.

My x99 build hss been nothing but problems!!
Latest came as a result of deciding that I wanted to swap rad fans and add some white leds.
Installed .Plugged all in . Switched on power and pressed case button to start - Nothing - no lights on board or psu.
Checked fuse/plug -nothing.
Double checked and realised that somehow power wire to case was not atached. Re- attached and trried again. Nothing.
Looked noticef molex was only cconnecting on one terminal rather than 2. One was both bent and pushed in. Tried straightening but no joy yet.
Concern is am I wasting my time in looking at the case power molex? Or is the fact that the molex is not connecting correctly very likely why I am having the problems I am?
Advice appreciated!

P.s am one very cheesed if pc builder here ' very nearly 7 months since start and still not finished.

Damn, still issues.

What are the full specs so I can assist:)

What is this molex connecting to? being a modern board and setup its should not need it for anything important.

Is it just not starting up?
 
Everything was working fine, yesterday.
Everything is new . Case 780t.psu leadex 1000.
Today changed rad fans and added leds. The latter needed a molex to power so re- routed a little . All looked in order but when I pressed the button on the case to start - Nothing.
Realised I had disconnected the case from its power (molex conne.ctor).and the molex connector from the case has been damaged.
I believe that as the molex connector for the case is broken / not connecting when I turn the power on to the computer as none is getting to the case , pressing the case on switch does not work and the psu doesnot fire so no power to the board etc ( no lights on psu, board etc)
I.e. if I can repair the molex so that piwer can get to the case, I can switch on and the psu will light upand get it all working.Correct?
 
Does it start up if just short the two pins directly on the board?

Molex pins can be tricky to get into the female part of them especially if they are lose inside the actual molex connector, you almost have to hold the actual wires that go into the connector to ensure they remain straight.
 
My name 'AgedIdiot' is , without doubt upon this occasion, accurate!!

After a lot of trying to get molex fitting to work (no joy) + disassembly+trying psu with xspc bridge and only pump running (it worked :)) - upon looking to put back together noticed that i/o connector was not attached - so put it back and thought 'give it a go'.

Started immediately:)

I did look at such when it first did not work but it had probably come loose and I did not notice:o:o:o

All seems to be working so am not researching any more - in fact I think I will just concentrate upon gaming and surfing for a few weeks so as to avoid :confused: events for a bit:):)
