Hi guys,

I wanted to accept online payments, the thing is my profit from each item is bang on 10% so if my method of payment is for example paypal they will end up taking about 5% so I am left with only 5% which is a little harsh.

So what I am getting at is what payment method is cheap and also the PHP script easily attainable and also is easy to integrate it with my site.

Thanks guys in advance and much appreciated.

Also can the mods move this thread to another forum just in case it is in the wrong forum.

I will accept payment friend.

I would suggest using PayPal and adjusting your prices to account for the PayPal fees.

You're going to have a hard time getting a payment gateway that doesn't charge fees, and as annoying as PayPal is, it's probably got the largest userbase, with the ability to accept card payments for those who don't have PayPal accounts, leaving PayPal to do all the processing there.

I would suggest moving the "average" transaction price of £15, to £16 and then you've covered the paypal fees, plus about another 20p.

The thing is the minimum is £8 per transaction, it depends on the customer, from what I have forecasted/predicted I would be getting orders from £8 to about £25, so I have averaged it to about £15 as £14 would be the nearest mark of average I will be really hitting.

Even then still £1.50 and then paying percentage for the online payment is quite steep.

Just wondering if any other forum users can recommend me some other alternative.

Thanks for that, will look into that

edit: just had a look and I couldn't find a link suggesting a free setup if I apply today, you think that offer is expired?
